Interpreting
We have interpreters who are skilled professionals and experts in their fields, having written and spoken command of their respective languages, including specialist terminology, current idioms and dialects.
We can provide you with various forms of interpreting services:
Simultaneous interpreting: when interpreters listen and interpret at the same time. This is generally used for conferences and large business meetings . Normally, in simultaneous interpreting the interpreter sits in a sound-proof booth, listens through headphones to the incoming message in the source language and relays the message in the target language into the microphone to whoever is listening. We also provide the specialist equipment for such events, e.g. booths, infra red microphones, etc, as well as technical support services.
Consecutive interpreting: when interpreters are alongside the speaker and reproduce the message in the target language. This sort of interpreting is used for one-to-one meetings or small groups, e.g. interpreting in solicitors' offices, courts , police stations , prisons , hospitals , business meetings etc.
Whispered Interpreting: where an interpreter is next to a person and whispers the interpretation.
Ad hoc interpreting: any assignment where the subject matter is unprepared, e.g. interviews or diplomatic visits.
